Dear UNC Choirs

THANK YOU for TWO GREAT CONCERTS THIS SEMESTER! Your willingness to convert to a hybrid rehearsal model was incredibly effective and much appreciated. You have allowed the song to live!  Thank you to all singers and conductors!

Spring 2021

All of our repertoire this semester was rehearsed essentially in an online format, utilizing Dr. Burgett and our graduate conductors as directors. We then put the repertoire together face-to-face for six 30-45 minute rehearsals prior to each concert.

Due to COVID constraints, we programmed repertoire for 1-2 voices per part, focusing on Renaissance and Baroque pieces that were originally conceived and performed in this manner.

We divided this repertoire into two concerts:

Concert 1: Renaissance repertoire

Concert 2: Baroque repertoire

(NOTE: we did program the Renaissance Masterwork, Spem in Alium by Tallis, on the Baroque Concert, to adhere to COVID scheduling restrictions.)

Below are the links to both concerts. Enjoy, and congratulations!
